Located on the west coast of Vancouver Island is a trendy surfer-inspired community called Ucluelet, BC. Over the last few years Ucluelet has experienced a surge in tourism from visitors around North America and as a result has grown into a tourist destination with some of British Columbia’s most incredible outdoor activities from surfing, fishing, hiking, and boating. There are plenty of things to do in Ucluelet, and we’re going to dive into them all - or at least most of them.
Many people may recall seeing Ucluelet’s signage on route to Tofino, BC. While these two neighboring communities have a lot in common, they both cater to a slightly different audience. Tofino has been recognized as Canada’s top surfing destination for decades and has a large appeal to visitors seeking a more surfer-like experience. In contrast, Ucluelet tends to attract a slightly more west coast mountain biker-type audience.
