Getting Here
There are two options for getting to Sasquatch Resort, driving or taking the shuttle.
If you driving you will need to exit off Highway 7 when you see the Sasquatch Inn, Morris Valley Road. Follow the Sasquatch signs to Hemlock Valley Road and turn left. This road will take you directly to the lodge and lifts but please take it slow since it is fairly windy and steep.
The shuttle bus has pick up zones throughout the Fraser Valley including Mission, Abbotsford, Chillawack, and Sand Piper Resort. Check out the Sasquatch shuttle bus schedule for times and prices.
The History of Sasquatch Mountain Resort
For decades visitors all over the Fraser Valley have been visiting Hemlock Resort which was renamed to Sasquatch Mountain Resort in 2017.
In 2006, Berezan Hospitality Group acquired Hemlock Resort and immediately began ambitious plans to transform the resort into a world-class playground. The ski resort has since upgraded building and life infrastructure. They worked with stakeholders such as local First Nations and the province of British Columbia to develop and approve a new resort master plan in 2016. The comprehensive plan envisions $1.5 billion in mountain investment in order to create a world class resort.
Planned Expansion
Every year the resort has been investing more and more into upgrading the runs and lifts. Once the masterplan has been executed the resort will cover more territory than Whistler, have more runs and a lower capacity – basically every skiers dream!
Here are some of the key planned upgrades:
- Adding 3 new lifts and 43 new ski runs
- New snow shoeing and hiking trails
- Infrastructure to add downhill mountain biking
- A indigenous themed village and retail center
- Construction of a 480 room hotel and 280 room hostel
- A campground
- Adding a zipline
